| A. VAKUFORM vacuum-compressible splints: |
|
VAKUFORM vacuum-compressible splints comprise two hermetically separated chambers. The vacuum chamber is provided with a vacuum valve and the overpressure (compression) chamber is fitted with an overpressure valve. The polymeric filling of the vacuum chamber in VS-202 to VS-209 line of splints is contained in a special fabric cover preventing ununiform distribution of the filling, facilitating "setting" and increasing stiffness of the evacuated splint. The vacuum/overpressure combination increases the fixation effect of the VS-202 to VS-207 range of the vacuum-compressive splints and extends application potentials of the splints in comparison with the single-chamber vacuum fixation splints and mattresses containing unfixed internal filling. The splint body is made from two parts of polyamide fabric provided with a special coat of PVC and PUR. The two parts comprising the splint body are joined together around their circumference by high-frequency welding. The fastening system consists of fixing bands with ribbon Velcro fasteners complete with hooks, Velcro velvet on the splint body and suspension strap (in VS-202 and VS-203 arm fixation splints only). Both vacuum and overpressure valves as well as the cover of the double-action pump are made of rigid PVC-CAW. |
| B. VAKUFORM vacuum-compressible mattresses: |

The vacuum-compressible mattresses consist of two discrete hermetically separated
chambers. The vacuum chamber is provided with a vacuum valve and the overpressure
(compression) chamber is fitted with an overpressure valve. The polymeric filling of the vacuum chamber in VM-200/…, VM-201 and VM-203/… mattress is contained in a special fabric cover which prevents uneven distribution of the filling and increases stiffness of the evacuated mattress. The vacuum/overpressure combination enhances the fixation effect of the these vacuum-compressive mattresses and extends potentials of the mattress over the single- chamber vacuum fixation mattresses containing unfixed internal filling. |

The mattress body has a shape of a regular rectangle and is made from two parts of polyamide fabric provided with a special coat of PVC and PUR. The two mattress parts are joined together around their circumference by high-frequency welding. Both vacuum and overpressure valves as well as the cover of the double-action pump are made of rigid PVC-CAW to enable carrying of the mattress. The protective cover is manufactured in three modifications depending on the required degree of protection of the mattress proper: |

There are four fixation straps with Velcro fasteners and five pairs of strap handles
